“Making God’s Love Real” is about transforming hearts and being the hands and feet of the Lord for those that don’t know God’s love. When Students go into the world whether it is across town, in our state or another state, or in a foreign land ... we are striving to “make God’s love real” to someone that needs to know that they are loved. It seems that each time that we go to serve others ... not only are the ones we serve blessed, but those that go to serve are blessed as well. We pray that you will take time to be a part of one of our many mission opportunities throughout the year and during the summer.
Thomas received the Heart of a Servant Award at the Youth Christmas Party hosted by the Somers' family on December 20. Thomas was presented with the Heart of a Servant Award for the Mission Guatemala 2009 trip. This was voted on by members of the mission team for the one among them that best displayed the true heart of a servant while in Guatemala. Thomas gave his entire testimony in Spanish while speaking to a group in Guatemala.
